RIO is a software company that specializes in digital services in the logistics and transport industry. The product portfolio offers a variety of collaborative cloud solutions for transport service providers and shippers, including OEM-independent offerings in the areas of telematics, transport management and driver communication. The flagship is the modular transport management system (TMS) Cartright with its driver app Pocket Driver, which was specially developed for small and medium-sized companies. A central service for shippers is the cloud-based supply chain solution, which enables suppliers, logistics service providers and industrial companies to exchange relevant data securely and make logistics processes more efficient across companies.

In our growing Shipper Digitalization division, we are developing a cloud-based supply chain platform for a more sustainable logistics ecosystem between shippers, carriers and suppliers by seamlessly connecting these parties with their logistics business partners on our Process-as-a-Service platform.
Lead Pre-Sales Client Projects
- In the pre-sales phase, you are responsible for designing individual customer solutions based on our innovative supply chain management platform for large, manufacturing companies – ensuring that our clients can collaborate digitally and sustainably with their partners.
- You communicate the benefits of our products and successful solutions implemented with our customers to potential clients, helping them identify opportunities relevant to their own situation.
- You advise our clients and help them identify challenges and opportunities in their supply chain, generating business value.
- You analyze the complex requirements of our customers and identify the appropriate building blocks from our product portfolio to develop tailored, comprehensive solutions.
- You bring RIO’s unique culture and way of working, using agile methods and user-centered approaches, into the customer project – creating excitement early on.
Drive cross-functional collaboration
- You closely align with sales, business leads, and development teams to ensure that the developed solutions can be implemented optimally both strategically and technically.
- You foster a culture of continuous improvement to optimize results.
Demonstrate innovative solutions
- You present your solution concepts at both expert and management levels - internally as well as to our customers - and conduct compelling demos and workshops.
- You effectively communicate status updates, risks, and progress to both customers and our management.
- You build long-term, trust-based customer relationships by addressing their challenges and goals.
- You have in-depth knowledge and more than 3 years of hands-on experience in supply chain management for manufacturing companies, preferably in supplier and/or transport management.
- You have at least 5 years of experience with proven success in IT customer projects in the B2B sector, preferably in the supply chain management SaaS environment.
- You are familiar with sales and consulting work in the B2B product environment.
- You have strong conceptual skills and are able to translate complex customer requirements into innovative and practical solution concepts.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have the ability to lead cross-functional teams while integrating both technical and non-technical areas.
- You are proficient in using collaboration tools such as Confluence and Miro.
- Occasional travel to customers is a given for you.
- Certifications such as PMP, CSM, or Prince2 Agile are a plus.
- You have excellent communication skills in German and English and can convey complex topics in an understandable manner.
